Understanding Friction Categories

Higher friction provides easier stopping control and better jitter filtering, but also sacrifices some level of micro adjustment ability and start performance. Lower friction may result in shakier aim and difficulty stopping after large movements, but offers better target tracking and precise micro adjustments.

Higher start performance scores indicate greater ease in transitioning the mouse from static to dynamic motion on the surface. Stop performance scores operate inversely, where higher values represent easier to stop the mouse movement.
